Andrew Kurtzman

VP and General Counsel
TIA

Mr. Kurtzman is the Vice President and General Counsel of the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA). He has been with TIA for over 20 years and helped it become a leader in standards development. In his role at TIA he  supports the numbering of cellular devices that have been used by over a billion people around the world, the accreditation of TIA by ANSI, and a large and active Board of Directors.  Mr. Kurtzman got his B.A. from the University of Michigan and his J.D. from the Washington College of Law. He has a long history supporting numerous small non-profits begin their journey into charitable service. He is the incorporator of the Telecommunications Industry Foundation where he is now an active Board member and liaison to TIA. Mr. Kurtzman is married to Elle Kurtzman who is an associate professor at The George Washington University School of Nursing, where she teaches health policy, research, and statistics. They are proud parents to an active teen who inspired Mr. Kurtzman’s patent for a new form of impact protection for athletes.
